Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Treasure, officially set sail on its maiden voyage on Dec. 21 from its homeport of Port Canaveral, Florida. Stand-out new experiences featuring storylines from “Haunted Mansion,” “Moana” and “Coco” highlight the Disney Treasure, and they’re just the beginning of the new enchantments Disney Imagineers are bringing to the cruise line’s ships. Disney Cruise Line has set a course to strengthen its position as a leader in family cruising as it more than doubles its fleet by 2031.

The cruise line will launch two new ships in 2025 that will bring bold new experiences to the high seas, including heroes and villains-themed venues and entertainment, and Marvel super hero-inspired stage shows and attractions. Along with new ships, the cruise line will bring new characters to family cruising – including some of 2024’s most popular characters from TV and movies.

Disney Cruise Line will launch new ships from Florida and Singapore in 2025

Following the Disney Treasure’s inaugural season, the cruise line will launch its next new ship from Fort Lauderdale, Florida in November 2025. The Disney Destiny features a heroes and villains theme that sets the stage for epic new experiences including a new family dinner show inspired by “The Lion King.”

It will also be the first Disney cruise ship to feature a lounge inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange.” Other new venues on the ship include bars celebrating Cruella de Vil and the Pirates of the Caribbean.

Shortly after the Disney Destiny sets off on its maiden voyage, the first Disney Cruise Line ship for passengers in Asia will set sail in December 2025, and it will be a destination in itself. The cruise line’s most theme-park-like ship yet, the Disney Adventure will offer cruises with only days at sea and feature seven uniquely themed areas that bring to life the fantastical worlds of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel.

Marvel character Deadpool, who teamed up with Wolverine for a film that broke a box office record in 2024, will make his Disney Cruise Line debut in 2025 when the Disney Adventure sets sail from Singapore in December. Deadpool will join a legendary line-up of Marvel superheroes and villains in Avengers Assemble!, one of the new ship’s signature shows. Avengers Assemble! will be an action-packed battle of good vs. evil with stunts, special effects, and Marvel characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, and Black Panther, along with Deadpool.

The Disney Destiny will also be packed with Marvel-inspired spaces, entertainment, and characters.
