Breeze founder speaks of ‘great demand’ for flights to these secondary cities

The latest number comes as a result of an expansion to three new cities announced on Feb. 5: Rochester and Albany in upstate New York and the blues music capital, Memphis.

The Memphis flights will start running from Tampa and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina on May 9. The Providence, Rhode Island routes will begin on May 7.

Also launching in May, the Rochester routes will start running from Raleigh-Durham, Charleston, New Orleans and Orlando while the Albany destination will be kicked off with flights from Charleston, Raleigh-Durham and Fort Myers.

The two Florida destinations and the Memphis-Providence route are BreezeThru flights in which the airline stops at another airport along the way but existing passengers do not deplane.

“We experienced incredible growth in 2024 thanks to our amazing partners in the cities we serve and the hard work and dedication of our Team Members across the U.S. and we look forward to continuing that momentum this year,” Neeleman said in a statement about the network changes. “We see great demand and opportunity for our premium product offering in secondary markets across the country and are excited to add Rochester, Albany and Memphis to our network.”
