Nothing is better than a late breakfast on a Sunday afternoon at a diner.
The smell of buttery pancakes and thick French toast drenched in maple syrup or the sight of fluffy eggs with salty home fries is enough to make one want to order the whole menu.

Everyone has a go-to diner they visit so often that the server already knows their order by heart.
For some, it might be a local spot. For others, it might be a chain. But for thousands of Americans nationwide, Denny’s has been their favorite diner for decades.

Unfortunately, this beloved breakfast chain seems to be disappearing.
Last October, Denny’s revealed its plans to permanently shut down around 150 locations. The breakfast chain has already closed over 80 restaurants in 2024, and the store count continues to decrease as it plans more closures this year.
The upcoming closures represent around 10% of all Denny’s brand restaurants, leaving the company with 1,375 locations once all the closures have been finalized.

Denny’s increases prices on menu items containing eggs
The current bird flu outbreak has caused a massive decline in egg production over the last few months due to contamination risks. Inventory has fallen around 2% overall, making it harder for the industry to keep up with consumer demand and causing the price of eggs to reach an all-time high.
Rising egg prices have prompted local diners and renowned breakfast chains alike to increase prices on menu items containing eggs.
Denny’s (DENN) became one of the victims of this tumultuous trend, announcing in February that it was temporarily adding surcharges to menu items containing eggs at some restaurants. The company stated it would implement the price increases based on the market and location.

However, Denny’s maintains its commitment to providing value to its guests, promising it will continue to offer its limited-time $2 $4 $6 $8 menu while navigating the ever-evolving economy.
Despite facing many challenges and trying to keep its already-struggling business alive, Denny’s has launched yet another breakfast deal that seems too good to be true. This one also includes eggs and might even cost less than purchasing a carton of them.
Denny’s launches one of the cheapest deals of the year
Denny’s is offering customers an unbelievable buy-one-get-one deal so they can enjoy breakfast any time of the day for cheaper than ever.
Starting now until May 9, customers who dine in at all participating Denny’s locations nationwide and order an Original Grand Slam or an All-American Grand Slam will get the second one of either option for just $1, as stated on the company’s website.
If the shockingly cheap price wasn’t enticing enough, the Original Grand Slam includes two fluffy buttermilk pancakes, two eggs made your way, two Applewood-smoked bacon strips, and two all-pork sausage links.
In case your mouth isn’t watering yet, it gets even better. The All-American Grand Slam includes scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, two Applewood-smoked bacon strips, two all-pork sausage links, crispy hash browns, and toast.

Deciding between these two delicious and huge breakfast options can be difficult. The good news is that you don’t have to because the second one is just $1.
So either bring a friend with whom to share this deal and each get your own, split both between the two of you, or just order both for yourself. No judgment here.
