If there’s one thing Americans love, it’s their coffee.
Sure, they also love their fast food, junk food, and food in general. But Americans’ love of coffee tends to go beyond any of these.

For some of us, drinking coffee isn’t a choice so much as a necessity. (Overworked, sleep-deprived parents, I’m talking to you.) And we’re willing to spend extra on it if it means getting the good stuff.

Of course, these days, consumers are being more careful with discretionary spending because of lingering inflation. So for folks with tight budgets, store-bought coffee is a luxury.
But it’s a luxury that’s easy to justify, considering how badly some of us need our morning (or afternoon) caffeine fix.
Besides, while most of your favorite chains probably have their own K-cup lines, there’s something about a fresh-brewed cup of joe that elevates the experience. So even though it’s easy enough to mimic those flavors at home, buying coffee outside the house is a real treat.

Dunkin’ is a longtime fan favorite
Coffee drinkers in the U.S. tend to fall into one of two camps — Dunkin’ fans and Starbucks fans.
To be clear, it’s more than possible to be a fan of both. Or neither. But Dunkin’ customers tend to prefer their coffee on the simpler side. Starbucks customers tend to want the jazzed-up lattes and Frappuccino drinks the chain is known for.

This isn’t to say Dunkin’ doesn’t have its fancier beverages, though. From its Caramel Craze Signature Latte to its Iced Macchiato, there’s no need to settle for plain old coffee at Dunkin’.
But of the two rival chains, Starbucks has the reputation for being an innovator in the fancy flavored-coffee game.
On the other hand, Starbucks’ assortment of baked goods often leaves customers unimpressed. Dunkin’s array of donuts, muffins, and munchkins makes it a sweet tooth’s haven.
Dunkin’ debuts new summer drinks
Dunkin’ knows that not everyone is a purist in search of a plain cup of coffee. That’s why it’s constantly adding new beverages to its drink menu.
Now, Dunkin’ is adding a new refresher to its summer lineup — the Tropical Guava Dunkin’ Refresher. It’s a fruit-flavored drink that can be made with green tea, lemonade, or sparkling water.

Tropical Guava joins other popular refresher flavors that include Mango Pineapple, Raspberry Watermelon, and Strawberry Dragonfruit.
Dunkin’ is also adding a Pistachio Signature Latte to its menu. And while that might seem like more of a wintertime flavor at first glance, it’s available in an iced version.
On top of those two new drinks, Dunkin’ is adding an Iced Strawberry Lemon Loaf to its dessert lineup. The cake will be pre-packaged for grab-and-go convenience.
In addition, Dunkin’ has a special promotion going for the second half of May. From the 16th through the 31st, customers can enjoy $3 Pretzel Sliders with the purchase of any beverage.
