Under the agreement, Amazon Cargo provides one of its Boeing 767-300 jets to Avianca Cargo to fly one daily flight between Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport and Miami International Airport.
The air freight agreement is expected to enable Amazon to achieve a broader presence in the Latin American region, leveraging Avianca Cargo’s capabilities. The daily air cargo flight began flying on April 8, the statement said.
“We are thrilled and proud to announce this partnership with Amazon Air Cargo, steps like these contribute to the economic development and positioning of the region’s cargo industry,” Avianca Cargo CEO Diogo Elias said in the statement.
