After watching a few of the solar path lights I had slowly dim and fade, I added a few options to my Amazon cart to give my outdoor space some love. The first was a new set of simple yet modern solar lights for my front yard and garden bed. The second was a more playful option to add more whimsy and light to a dark backyard, and it might be my favorite affordable backyard upgrade yet.

Why do shoppers love it?
This solar light has an adorable watering can design that can make any outdoor area look like a dream. The watering can has lights inside, casting a pattern on my fence, but that’s not all. Draping from the sprinkler head are a handful of fairy string lights that shimmer and glow, giving it the appearance of sparkling flowing water. With its soft flashes, I find myself staring at how captivating the lights are as soon as dusk hits.
Since the light is solar-powered, it’s a zero-maintenance way to add light to dark outdoor spaces. It takes about 6 to 8 hours to charge in the sun, which provides 8 to 12 hours of light. It’s made to be durable and weather-resistant, whether it’s sunny, rainy, or windy. I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and it’s held up in rain and shine.
The setup was really easy, too. You have to assemble the hook it comes with, which measures 28.7 inches tall, including the ground stakes. The string lights are wrapped together, so you have to unravel them. After you switch the light on, you can place it and let its solar-powered magic happen.
