- Garmin has launched the Enduro 4 and Approach S72, with both watches available in the US from October 9.
- The Enduro 4 keeps its predecessor’s huge battery claims while adding faster maps, smarter power modes, and new stamina tools.
- The Approach S72 targets serious golfers with swing metrics, biometric insights, and upgraded on-course features.
Garmin’s Enduro watches are built around one slightly absurd idea: what if your smartwatch could simply refuse to die during an ultramarathon or multi-day trip? The Enduro 3 already pushed that formula pretty far in 2024, with solar charging and battery life measured in weeks rather than days. Now Garmin is following it with the Enduro 4, which doubles the storage and packs in more training and navigation tools without pushing the price any higher.
Battery life remains suitably ridiculous. Garmin still rates the Enduro 4 for up to 320 hours of activity tracking with solar charging or as much as 90 days in smartwatch mode under its specified sunlight conditions, matching the Enduro 3. The 51mm watch also sticks with a 1.4-inch MIP display and Power Sapphire lens, so Garmin clearly hasn’t chased an AMOLED screen at the expense of endurance.
