TL;DR
  • Stable One UI 9 has arrived for the Galaxy S23 series phones.
  • The update is currently limited to users previously beta-testing One UI 9 on their Galaxy S23 in South Korea.
  • Based on the rollout for other devices, the stable One UI 9 update for all users across different regions should be here in a week or two.

Samsung started rolling out stable One UI 9, based on Android 17, in late September. Over the past three or so weeks, several of Samsung’s older flagships — and even the latest Galaxy A series phone — have received the update. And now, it’s coming to even older devices.

Based on a post in Samsung’s Community forums (via tipster Tarun Vats on X), One UI 9 has seemingly started to roll out for Galaxy S23 users, just a couple of days after the Galaxy S24 series got its update in the US. The release is not available to all, but is currently limited to a smaller section of users who were previously beta testing One UI 9 on their Galaxy S23 devices. Furthermore, the release is currently limited to South Korea, Samsung’s home country.
