Tax season is among some of the most frustrating and stressful times of the year for Americans nationwide.

Some have had to tighten their financial belts recently, and filing taxes can be a painful reminder that owing may be more likely this year than receiving money back. 

Given the global economy’s ever-evolving state and the threat of inflation, consumer spending continues to wane as they make more conscious decisions about where their money goes.

The cost of many food staples has reached an all-time high, partially due to unpredictable circumstances such as avian flu and new tariffs on imported goods.

Although some fast-food chains and restaurants have increased their prices to mitigate the rising food costs, others have done the opposite by promoting jaw-dropping deals.

Burger King drops a shocking money-saving deal

To make tax season a bit more enjoyable, Burger King  (QSR)  is rewarding its Royal Perks members with a 1-cent cheeseburger with any purchase of $1 or more when ordering ahead on the app or via its online website.

This deal is available at participating Burger King restaurants nationwide. However, it is only valid until April 20, as stated on its online platforms.

If the low price wasn’t enough of an incentive, the simple thought of a classic Burger King cheeseburger featuring a grilled beef patty topped with melted American cheese, crunchy pickles, yellow mustard, and ketchup on a toasted sesame seed bun should inspire customers to snatch one before the deal expires. 

Patrons must purchase an item worth $1 or more to get this deal.

Burger King introduces new menu items for 2025

Burger King created the Million Dollar Whopper Contest last year to encourage customers to create their own versions of the Whopper, the fast food chain’s most popular menu item. This led to the launch of three new guest-created Whoppers nationwide.

This year, Burger King introduced the Steakhouse Bacon Whopper to its menu for a limited time. It created it through a combination of the Million Dollar Whopper Contest and comments on social media, as it has been taking customers’ ideas to launch new items.

This Whopper features a grilled beef patty topped with A.1. sauce, crispy onions, bacon, Swiss cheese, peppercorn aioli, lettuce, and tomato on a burger bun.

“We are constantly listening to our Guests to learn how they want to customize America’s Favorite Burger, which is why we’re so excited about the new Steakhouse Bacon Whopper,” said Burger King (U.S. & Canada) Vice President Brand Marketing and Culinary Christy Skylis. “This creation is the result of our passionate Guests and Whopper lovers, and we look forward to bringing even more Guest-created and inspired creations to our menu later this year and in the future – so keep the great ideas coming!”
