I am .net developer mostly Web Specific but recently started WPF . Usually love to work on my desktop but somehow I need laptop now.
Can someone suggest me a budget laptop for for the work purpose. Thank you.

Try something with windows on it. I love ThinkPads.
If your running visual studio I suggest an i7 and 16 Gb of ram with a solid state hard drive VS 2019 runs fine with 8GB and an SSD. look at Dell’s refurbished latitudes.

The nice thing is that they are business class sturdy, plus you can get a USB-C docking station. I do a fair amount of C# in VS 2019 and it drives the local display plus 2 25″ well enough for dev. I would go for 12 or 16 GB of RAM if I got to pick.

You don’t need sick pc for it. My fanless surface Pro 2017 with 8gb ram and i5 is able to run several instances of VS2019 comfortably.

Visual Studio and Chrome (which you might need to view your work) are memory hungry beasts so you need at least 16GB of RAM. SSD if possible to speed up compilation. Those are the essentials really. Windows 10 of course.

Agreed 16GB and Ssd are te important parts.
The must have is the SSD, I have a rather basic laptop with a 4-core i5 and 8GB ram, it came with an HDD but I replaced it with an SSD and it’s so much better, those 2.5” HDD are painfully slow. The rest of it is good enough, it runs Visual Studio 2019 fine.
