With the new Disney Adventure ship that will set sail from Singapore in 2025, Disney Cruise Line is charting new waters in multiple ways. The Disney Adventure will be the biggest Disney Cruise Line ship yet and the first to homeport in Asia.

When the 208,000-gross-ton cruise ship begins sailing from Singapore for at least five years beginning in 2025 as part of a collaboration between Disney Cruise Line and Singapore Tourism Board, the Disney Adventure will offer three- and four-night cruises that will only include days at sea.

Offering sailings with only sea days makes the Disney Adventure both a voyage and a destination, inspiring Disney Cruise Line to imagine new ways to deliver a magical family vacation entirely through onboard experiences.

The size of the ship gave Disney Imagineers the opportunity to dream bigger to create new experiences and grand features never before seen on a Disney cruise ship.

Seven uniquely-themed areas on board the Disney Adventure will offer immersive experiences that bring to life fan-favorite worlds of Disney, Pixar and Marvel. The themed areas include Disney Imagination Garden, Disney Discovery Reef, San Fransokyo Street, Wayfinder Bay, Town Square, Marvel Landing and Toy Story Place.

Disney Adventure will feature Disney Cruise Line’s first castle at sea

Disney Imagination Garden will be the grand, heart of the ship – a pop-up storybook-like garden and gathering space set under Disney Cruise Line’s first castle at sea. The storybook castle art piece will be three decks tall and sit above a decorative waterfall and courtyard.

The Disney Imagination Garden castle is inspired by real and imagined castles found in Disney stories and theme parks. Passengers can look for references to the Walt Disney Pictures castle, Sleeping Beauty’s castle at Disneyland Paris, and Rapunzel’s castle.

As they stroll through the garden promenade featuring landscapes styled like paper cut-outs, passengers will also spot characters, iconography, and Easter eggs from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories. Those booked in garden-view staterooms, a new room category for Disney Cruise Line, will be able to enjoy the Disney Imagination Garden from a verandah too.

At the other end of the open-air Disney Imagination Garden opposite the castle, a theatrical garden stage complete with three-deck-high LED screens will present live entertainment. Performances planned for the garden stage include the Avengers Assemble! stage show where Deadpool will make his Disney Cruise Line debut.

An open lawn area in front of the stage will lead to a large staircase that can be used for amphitheater-style seating for shows.

The Disney Adventure draws on both film and regional influences

Disney Imagination Garden will include to two quick-service dining options, Mowgli’s Eatery and Gramma Tala’s Kitchen. Inspired by “The Jungle Book,” Mowgli’s Eatery will serve Indian cuisine and Gramma Tala’s Kitchen will feature island flair inspired by “Moana” and highlight flavors of the Pacific and Asia.

Disney Cruise Line also drew inspiration from “Moana” and the Pacific Islands for the Disney Adventure’s poolside retreat, Wayfinder Bay.

Other themed areas on board the Disney Adventure will take passengers into the worlds of The Little Mermaid,” “Lilo & Stitch,” “Finding Nemo,” “Luca,” “Big Hero 6,” and “Toy Story.”

The Town Square will transport guests into a fairy tale forest complete with shops, restaurants, cafes, and lounges inspired by many of the magical kingdoms found in Disney stories. Passengers will also find thrilling attractions and superhero adventures in the Marvel Landing-themed area.

More details are still to come about the magical onboard experiences that await cruisers on Disney Cruise Line’s biggest ship yet. The cruise line expects the Disney Adventure to have a passenger capacity of about 6,700 with around 2,500 crew members.

Currently under construction at the MV Werften shipyard in Wismar, Germany, under the management of Meyer Werft, the Disney Adventure will be the seventh ship to enter the Disney Cruise Line fleet. It will be followed by the Disney Destiny ship set to launch Nov. 20, 2025 sailing from Fort Lauderdale.

Four additional ships planned for delivery between 2027 and 2031 will bring the total Disney Cruise Line fleet size to 13.
