Amidst the many topics explored during the latest episode of comedian Joe Rogan’s titular podcast, guest Elon Musk made a small bet involving the Tesla Cybertruck.

In a conversation about the performance, weight and all-metal construction of the long-awaited electric truck, the Tesla (TSLA) – Get Free Report CEO mentioned certain demonstrations that show the truck’s supposed bulletproofing, which triggered a curious Rogan about its limits.
“Can I try it with an arrow?” Rogan asked Musk.
“Yeah, it’ll be fine,” Musk replied.
Rogan perked up Musk’s curiosity by describing at length the various archery setups he had for hunting various large game. However, Musk felt very confident that arrows would not damage the Cybertruck.
“Maybe I’ll drive back with an arrow sticking out of my car,” Musk coyly said.
“I bet I can get it in there,” Rogan replied.
“I’ll bet you can’t. I’ll bet you a dollar,” said Musk.
As the richest man in the world rambled on with a comparison of the power of crossbows to guns, the host of one of the world’s most popular podcasts realized that he kept a less powerful bow than the one he previously talked about and insisted on a demonstration.
What followed was a demonstration in Rogan’s garage, where he nocked, drew and anchored to shoot an arrow straight at the rear passenger side door of Musk’s Cybertruck from a close, but safe distance away. Musk looked on and puffed a cigar at the other side of the garage.
The arrowhead made a tiny ding on the truck.
“Barely scratched it,” Rogan exclaimed, before showing a broken arrow and a dented arrowhead to the camera.
Back at the studio, Rogan had nothing but praise for Musk to hear.
“That’s impressive, very impressive,” Rogan exclaimed. “It just destroyed the broadhead, flattened at the tip, and then the arrow blew apart.”

As Musk went on about the supposed bulletproof capabilities of the Cybertruck, Rogan asked why it has such capabilities.
Musk said that it is about his perception of trucks.
“Trucks are supposed to be tough, right?” asked Musk. “Is your truck bulletproof?”

Musk supposedly had a picture in his mind when he thought about this feature.
“If you shoot a gun at like a regular truck, it’ll go out, it’ll go through both doors. You can’t hide behind a a car door like they do in the movies,” said Musk. “You know back in the day, I’m dating myself, but The A Team, there’d be like bullets flying everywhere and they’d be hiding behind the car door, right? That doesn’t work, but it does in a Cybertruck.”
