In a statement released on December 6, Honda announced that its planning to announce that it will introduce 30 new electric vehicles around the world by the end of this decade.
The Japanese automaker will be making an official announcement next month on Tuesday, January 9 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where it will draw out what the automakers call an “aggressive timeline” of product introductions for the rest of the decade.
As per Honda, it plans to “showcase the global EV series models,” at CES, as well as “several key technologies that illustrate the significant transformation Honda is currently undergoing.”

In its announcement, Honda teased a wedge-shaped concept car under some dim lighting.
The Tokyo-based automaker has a goal of selling two million units per year by 2030 and plans to sell solely “zero-emissions” vehicles by 2040, which include electric cars and fuel cell cars, such as those powered by hydrogen.
Currently, Honda does not sell any EVs in the United States. Its upcoming EVs, the Acura ZDX and Honda Prologue crossover SUVs, are set to be released in 2024. In October, Honda and General Motors split up their $5 billion plan to co-develop electric vehicles.

The announcement will be live streamed by Honda on its YouTube channel on January 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. PST, or 1:30 p.m. EST.
