Las Vegas Strip headliners sign on for residencies that usually last from a half-dozen dates to several months or maybe years.
Some residencies seem to never end, such as those featuring Wayne Newton, Barry Manilow, and Donny Osmond.
Mr. Las Vegas Wayne Newton began his “Wayne: Up Close and Personal” residency at the Wayne Newton Theater in Bugsy’s Cabaret at the Flamingo in Las Vegas in January 2022.

The “Danke Schoen” singer, who first headlined at the Flamingo in 1963, has extended his residency several times and is set to conclude the residency on Dec. 31, 2025.
Donny Osmond opened his Harrah’s Las Vegas residency in the Showroom in August 2021 and is set to close his show on June 7. Unless Osmond extends the engagement.
Barry Manilow may never close his residency at the International Theater at Westgate Las Vegas off the Strip. He signed a lifetime residency agreement with the casino in December 2024.
The list of headliners coming to the Strip in 2025 for residencies includes The Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Bryan Adams, Scorpions, Motley Crue, Bruno Mars, and Lenny Kravitz, all returning after performing past engagements.

The Sphere Las Vegas will also present its first return performer as Dead & Company restarts its Dead Forever residency for 18 more shows beginning March 20.
Several first-time residency performers are also coming to the Strip.
First-time residencies coming to the Strip
The biggest debut will be Kenny Chesney Live at Sphere Las Vegas for 15 shows in May and June 2025. Chesney will become the first country star to perform a residency at the spectacular venue.
Legendary boy band New Kids On The Block will debut its first Las Vegas Strip residency, “The Right Stuff,” at MGM Resorts International’s Dolby Live at Park MGM with 24 shows in June, July, November 2025, and February 2026.
Popular 1990s singer Alanis Morissette performs her first-ever residency with eight shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning in October 2025.

Garth Brooks closes long-running residency
After all of those residency openings, fans can get ready for a closing, as legendary country singer Garth Brooks wraps up his 54-show Plus One residency at Caesars Entertainment’s Colosseum at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip. The show, which was scheduled for March 8, is sold out as were shows Friday and Saturday. Indeed, the two-year-old residency has been entirely sold out.

Fans interested in seeing the last show can still purchase tickets on the secondary market at Stubhub.com, with prices ranging from $210 to $1,235, or at Vividseats.com, ranging from $217 to $1,436.
Brooks opened his Plus One residency in May 2023 with 27 weekend shows running through July 2024. The shows were so popular that he added 18 more shows in September, October, and December 2024.
In September 2024,, the country superstar added the residency’s final nine shows on three weekends in February and March 2025.
Brooks has been a popular Vegas headliner dating back to his five-year Garth at Wynn residency that ran from December 2009 to January 2014.
The “Friends in Low Places” singer also included Sin City on his Stadium World Tour at Allegiant Stadium on July 10, 2021.
