As 2024 came to a close, several Las Vegas Strip casino headliner residencies also ended to make way for no fewer than 10 new superstar engagements.

Major residencies that closed at the end of 2024 included classic rock band REO Speedwagon, which closed its Las Vegas Strip residency and retired from touring at the Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort on Dec. 21.

Superstar singer Bruno Mars finished up his residency at MGM Resorts International’s Dolby Live at Park MGM on Dec. 31, and classic 1980s rockers Duran Duran performed the final show of their residency at BleauLive Theater at Fontainebleau on Dec. 30.

Wynonna Judd’s Greatest Hits Anniversary Tour residency closed on Dec. 14 at Apollo Global Management’s  (APO)  Venetian Theater at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas, and Adele’s “Weekends With Adele” residency, which opened on Nov. 18, 2022, closed on Nov. 23. 2024, at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace after 100 shows.

Rock star Lenny Kravitz closed his first-ever Las Vegas Strip residency with five shows that concluded on Oct. 26 at MGM’s Dolby Live at Park MGM. Kravitz has not indicated if he will return for another residency.

The Strip’s first major hip-hop residency closed on July 20, 2024, when legendary New York hip-hop stars Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick, and Doug E. Fresh joined DJ Cassidy for the final show of his “Pass the Mic Live” residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

New residencies coming to Strip in 2025 

Among the new residencies coming to the Strip in 2025 will be country star Blake Shelton’s first-ever residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in February, hard rock icons Scorpions at PH Live at Planet Hollywood in February and March, and rock star Bryan Adams at Wynn Resorts’ Encore Theater in March.

Rod Stewart returns for a new 12-show residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, metal band Motley Crue performs an 11-show residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM Las Vegas, and Sammy Hagar plays Dolby Live after Motley Crue.

Singer Josh Groban, Weird Al Yankovic, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and New Kids on the Block round out the new residencies coming to the Strip in the first half of 2025.

50 Cent closes Vegas Strip residency

Iconic rap superstar 50 Cent opened his first Las Vegas Strip residency “50 Cent: In Da Club” at Caesars Entertainment’s  (CZR)  PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Dec. 27 for six shows that will close on Jan. 4.

Curtis Jackson, known as 50 Cent, revealed his six-show “In Da Club” residency on Oct. 15 with a message on Instagram.

“My first residency is going to be an experience, you don’t wanna miss this! I’ll be doing 6 Exclusive shows December 27-January 4 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Tickets on sale Saturday,” 50 Cent wrote.

The Grammy Award-winning hip-hop star launched his music career with his smash hit debut No. 1 hit album “Get Rich or Die Trying” in 2003, which included the No. 1 single “In Da Club.”

50 Cent followed up that success with the No. 1 album “The Massacre” with the No. 1 hit single “Candy Shop.”
