Las Vegas Strip resorts will open 2025 with a string of new headliner residencies, hoping the crowds will spill over to their hotels and casinos.
The casino operators are bringing in new entertainment that might help turn around a losing streak of five straight months of declining gaming revenue, which was revealed in the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s November 2024 revenue report.

New shows making their debut will include residency newcomer and country star Blake Shelton; rockers Scorpions, Motley Crue, Sammy Hagar, Bryan Adams, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts; pop group New Kids On The Block; and an all-new Rod Stewart “The Encore Shows” residency.

While new shows are opening, several existing residencies are also extending their engagements in 2025.
Popular jam band Dead & Company closed its 30-show sold-out residency at the Las Vegas Sphere on Aug. 10, 2024. The band’s predecessor Grateful Dead often performed shows in Las Vegas, and Dead & Co. is returning to the Sphere to extend the engagement as expected.

Dead & Co. is set to perform 18 more shows this year at the Las Vegas Sphere between March 20 and May 17, 2025. These shows will be the band’s only shows at the Sphere, the music venue’s website revealed.
Popular rock band the Eagles also lengthened their residency at Sphere Las Vegas with the addition of four shows on April 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2025, bringing the total engagement to 32 shows so far. The Eagles have not revealed a final ending date for their residency.

Superstar rocker Lenny Kravitz sold out the first leg of his residency that ran five nights at MGM Resorts International’s MGM Dolby Live at Park MGM on Oct. 18-26, 2024.Â
The “Are Ya Gonna Go My Way” singer has extended his Blue Electric Light Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live for five shows on Aug. 1, 2, 6, 8, and 9, 2025.

Kravitz’s residency celebrates his 12th studio album “Blue Electric Light,” which was released on May 24, 2024. The Grammy Award winner’s 11 previous albums have sold over 40 million copies.
The Las Vegas Strip entertainment duo of superstar singer Toni Braxton and popular comedian Cedric the Entertainer return to MGM Resorts International’s MGM The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for the third run of their “Love & Laughter” residency with six more shows scheduled for Feb. 14, 15, May 9, 10, July 11, and 12 in 2025.

Janet Jackson adds more Vegas Strip residency showsÂ
Finally, iconic Las Vegas Strip headliner Janet Jackson has added six shows to her Resorts World Las Vegas residency, following a week of sellouts that opened her engagement for the New Year’s holiday.

The “Nasty” singer will resume her residency on May 21, 24, 25, 28, 30, and 31, 2025 at the 5,000-seat Resorts World Theatre. Fans can register for a ticket presale that began Jan. 16 at AEG Presents at [email protected].
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. Pacific time on AXS.com.
Jackson sold out the first four shows of her Janet Jackson: Las Vegas residency at Resorts World on Dec. 30, 31, Jan. 3, and 4. The first 10 shows of the residency continue on Feb. 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15.
Jackson’s most recent Vegas Strip residency was her “Metamorphosis” show at MGM Resorts International’s (MGM)  Park MGM from May 17-Aug. 17, 2019.
