Securing triple certification by the Brazil’s Civil Aviation Authority, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, and the American Federal Aviation Administration in April 2026, the Praetor 600E is the latest and glitziest executive biz jet produced by Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer.
The super-midsize jet, a category that bridges two categories with a range that could be used for shorter transatlantic flights, seats up to nine passengers and has a maximum operating range of 4,018 nautical miles.
Flexjet, a private aviation company offering wealthy corporate and leisure travelers both fractional ownership and jet card programs, signed a $7 billion agreement to purchase 182 Praetor 600E, Praetor 500E, and enhanced Phenom 300E planes to significantly grow the fleet on which it can run flights.
Flexjet marks first Embraer Praetor 600E as “milestone delivery”
With delivery of these aircraft scheduled in batches throughout 2030, the first milestone one took place on Sept. 18.
“This milestone delivery continues a success story we have had with Embraer that began back in 2003,” Flexjet Chief Executive Officer Michael Silvestro said in a statement cited by AeroTime. “[…] Embraer’s unwavering commitment to innovation, exemplified by the Praetor 600E, continues to deliver the breakthroughs that enable us not only to meet those expectations, but exceed them.”

This longstanding partnership between the plane manufacturer and private aviation company means that Flexjet is also the exclusive first buyer of both the Praetor 600E and 500E models. The last new delivery launch of an Embraer biz jet was in 2019, when Flexjet was also chosen as the launch customer for the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600.
As Embraer’s newest business jet model, the Praetor 600E is also its most technologically advanced, with features including the Smart Window with a 42-inch 4K OLED touchscreen monitor that doubles as a screening monitor, live map with the jet’s location, and panoramic views of the sky and ground beneath the aircraft through three externally-mounted cameras.

The new cabin management system was designed by Lufthanasa aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Operations branch Lufthansa Technik, while the interior also features sleek features such as RGB cabin lighting and proprietary ergonomic seats that rotate 360 degrees.
The eight club seats can also be converted into four in-flight flat beds on longer flight pairings envisioned for this model: London to New York, São Paulo to Miami, and Minneapolis to Milan, the longest flight and one that pushes the boundaries of the aircraft’s range and capabilities.

Michael Amalfitano, CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, classified the Praetor 600E as “the next generation of the private flight experience, combining industry-leading performance with transformative technologies like our Smart WindowTM [the Smart Window is patented to secure proprietary rights for the design] to create new possibilities for productivity, comfort, and connectivity in the air,” a Flexjet press release shared.
Flexjet further confirmed that it expects to receive a total of 12 Praetor 600Es by the end of 2026 as more deliveries are scheduled in blocks throughout the year.
