Las Vegas residencies are known for their superstar headliners who perform spectacular shows that often sell out.
By far, the most popular show on the Las Vegas Strip is the Eagles’ residency at Sphere Entertainment’s (SPHR) Sphere Las Vegas. The band began their engagement on Sept. 20, 2024, and have so far extended the residency’s original eight shows to 28 performances through March 15, 2025.

Another popular residency on the Strip is Adele’s “Weekends With Adele,” which wraps up a 100-show run Nov. 23 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Casino theaters off the Strip have some extremely popular superstar residencies as well.
Elvis Presley last performed in Vegas in 1976, less than a year before his untimely death in 1977, but his legacy lives on in Sin City with Elvis impersonators and a record he set at the International Hotel, later named the Las Vegas Hilton. Elvis performed 636 sold-out shows in over seven years at the hotel’s International Theater.
A classic pop singer, however, dethroned the King of Rock from his record number of sold out shows that he held for over 45 years at the International Theater just off the Las Vegas Strip.
Popular 1970s superstar singer Barry Manilow began his long-running residency at the Westgate Las Vegas in February 2005 and continues to perform sellouts in the International Theater where Elvis Presley opened the hotel casino in 1969. At the time, it was the International Hotel, before becoming the Las Vegas Hilton, then Westgate.

After 18 years of performing at the Westgate, the “Copacabana” singer broke Elvis Presley’s record of 636 sold out shows at the venue on the weekend of Sept. 23, 2023. However, Elvis still holds the record for performing 636 sold-out shows at the theater in just over seven years, a mark that will be difficult for anyone to take away from Elvis.
