Hi there, I am a sysadmin in the UK. Currently, in my role I use a lot of VBS and PowerShell, whilst these are suiting me very well. I have 3 weeks of downtime over the holidays and I am looking for a decent bookpdfguide to get me into C#.

Any suggestions? Something like PowerShell in a Month of Lunches (which I fully recommend for anyone wanting to go the other way!) would be ideal, not so much for the short time frame, I am not expecting to be anywhere near proficient in 30 days, but that kind of bitesize learning I find very effective. Thanks

I would recommend that you become an expert with Powershell Classes, which are very much like C# Classes, just somewhat simplified.
A good book is Windows Powershell In Action, 3rd edition. I’m using this book to go the other way; from C# to Powershell.
Thank you, I will take a look at that.
What would you like to use your knowledge of C# to do?
Get a new job? New position? A raise? Build something? Make your life easier? Satisfy curiosity?

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and yes
I’ve been looking around myself and I think this is a good place to start https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/csharp/tutorials/intro-to-csharp/
