Royal Caribbean guitarist Bryan James has shown off all sorts of different cabins on his YouTube page in his years working on cruise ships.
In many cases, when he has worked as part of a band, he has lived in a cabin that would be small by passenger standards that he shares with another crew member. In most cases, those rooms had bunk beds and little privacy aside from a curtain.

Sometimes, when he has worked as a solo guitarist, James has been lucky enough to get a decent-sized passenger-like cabin. Solo musicians are entitled to their own cabin, while musicians in bands usually share.
Now, James has shown off something a little bit different. When he was working back in 2022 as a member of the country trio that plays at Mason Jar on Wonder of the Seas, the guitarist had a very tiny room.
It was, however, a solo cabin, albeit one that’s barely more than a bed, a small desk, and a bathroom. It’s a private space — something many crew members would be desperate to have — but it’s also one of the smallest rooms we’ve ever seen on a cruise ship.

Yeah, I mean, could be worse. Living on a cruise ship as a crew member means you live in some pretty small rooms. I’ve been lucky enough to be in a balcony the past two weeks, but now I’m moving to the smallest room I’ve ever lived in.
Oh my god. The smallest cabin. Well, first, my head almost touches the ceiling.
How high does this go? Boom! Let’s see you lay down on this bad boy. Okay. Yeah, I mean, could be worse.

I brought too much stuff. Way too many things. Let’s do the map.
Yeah, it’s just barely not gonna work. Alright, can you film me? I’m gonna try to actually go to sleep. Okay.
