Now, the tech sector’s next big event, which centers around Nvidia, is about to unfold tomorrow. Nvidia GTC (GPU Technology Conference) 2025 is an ongoing event showcasing workshops and presentations from members of the tech community who use Nvidia’s products.
The conference comes at an opportune time for investors, as Nvidia stock has struggled significantly over the past month. The company needs a growth-driving catalyst to help usher a turnaround as uncertainty pushes down financial markets.
Thankfully, CEO Jensen Huang is expected to reveal something important at Nvidia GTC 2025 that could help spark some much-needed momentum for the beaten-down stock.

The eyes of the tech community are already looking toward Nvidia GTC 2025, hoping to learn about the company’s plans for 2025 and see product updates. It begins on March 18, and both investors and consumers are ready to tune in.
When Nvidia has a new product to debut, it’s usually a new cutting-edge AI chip that promises to deliver even faster results than its predecessor. In keeping with this trend, the company is expected to debut the new Blackwell Ultra, a more advanced version of its current Blackwell chip.

Since the conference literally has GPU (graphics processing unit) in the title, it makes sense that Huang would take it as an opportunity to show the world Nvidia’s latest GPU and tell everyone what it can do and why it matters. As TechCrunch reports:
“During Nvidia’s most recent earnings call, Huang confirmed that the upcoming Blackwell B300 series, codenamed Blackwell Ultra, is slated for release in the second half of this year.
In addition to higher computing performance, Blackwell Ultra cards pack more memory (288GB), an attractive feature for customers looking to run and train memory-hungry AI models.”

That’s not the only GPU update Nvidia fans can expect from the conference. Huang will also likely mention Vera Rubin, the company’s next-generation GPU series, which he claims will provide a “big, big, huge step up” in computing performance.
Quantum computing will take center stage at Nvidia GTC 2025
However, AI chips aren’t the only area in which Nvidia is likely to provide updates. Thursday, March 20, 2025, will be the company’s first-ever Quantum Day, during which Huang will be joined on stage by leaders from companies such as D-Wave Systems (QBTS) , IonQ (IONQ,) and Rigetti Computing (RGTI) .

These industry leaders will discuss “what’s possible and available now in quantum computing, and where quantum technologies are headed” at a time when quantum computing technology is making significant steps forward.
However, the event comes just a few months after Huang speculated that practical quantum computing is at least 15-20 years away, which D-Wave CEO Dr. Alan Baratz has since disputed. Nvidia’s Quantum Day discussions may provide further context regarding the technology’s evolution and the significance of several recent quantum breakthroughs.
Reports indicate that Nvidia GTC 2025 will also bring updates on areas such as robotics, agentic AI, and the company’s work in autonomous driving technology. Huang’s keynote address is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, at 10 a.m.PT and will be streamed on Nvidia’s webpage and on YouTube
