While the Thanksgiving period of gathering around the table with family is right at hand, some are already eying the after period for a quick getaway ā both to get some rest after the political fights that will inevitably break out at the holiday table and the airline deals that will be offered on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
This year, a number of both mainstream and low-cost airlines are offering sales around the biggest shopping period of the year.

These airlines are all offering travelers big Black Friday deals
Low-cost carrier BreezeĀ (BREZ) Ā is holding a $29 fare sale from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 that includes routes such as Charleston to New Haven, Cincinnati and West Palm Beach, New Orleans to Florida’s Orlando and Fort Myers, and Tampa from Maine’s Bangor and Vermont’s Burlington. The flights need to be taken betweenĀ Dec. 4 through May 22, 2025 with some blackout periods.Ā
Online travel company PricelineĀ (BKNG24) Ā is running a week of deals that started last week. On Nov. 28, those who use the platform to book a package in select Mexico and Caribbean resorts will get 30% off, while on Nov. 29 there will be a 25% discount on hotels inĀ New Orleans, Boston, Houston and Las Vegas.Ā
The flights can be found by searching for the route one wants to take on the airline’s site for travel between Dec. 4 and May 22, 2025.
For those looking to travel to Asia, Singapore AirlinesĀ (SINGF) Ā has 15%-20% discounts that amount to $1,149 one-way economy seatsĀ between New York and Singapore and $789 for a ticket to the city from Seattle.Ā
The airline also runs routes to other Asian countries and is offering a $659 flight between Los Angeles and Tokyo and $809 for a flight from L.A. to Bangkok.
The sale runs longer than Black Friday weekend, from Nov. 26 to Dec. 3, while the travel needs to be booked between Jan. 15 and Oct. 30.
Black Friday ticket sales offer low fares to Asia, Europe and the Caribbean
For European travel, Portugal’s flag carrier TAP is offering a number of slashed routes to destinations such as Lisbon, Madrid, Paris, Barcelona and Copenhagen in the $400 range for a round-trip ticket.Ā
The airline’s Black FLYday sale lasts until Dec. 4, while the specific discount advertised needs to be sought out by flying on the specific dates offered in the fall and spring of 2025.
“Even our best sales always include our popular Portugal Stopover program where you can enjoy up to 10 days in Portugal enroute to any of our destinations in Europe, or on the way home, for no additional airfare,” Carlos Antunes,Ā TAP’s director for the Americas,Ā said in a statement.

Qatar Airways has a cross-flight sale on all flights booked between Nov. 21 and 29. While there are some blackout dates during popular holiday periods, the 20% discount can be scored for flights from Nov. 26, 2024 to Nov. 26, 2025.Ā
For U.S. residents, the Middle Eastern airline flies to the Qatari capital of Doha from cities like New York, Chicago and Atlanta.
