CLINT HENDERSON: So we have seen a lot of uncertainty, and there has been some consumer pushback. In fact, we’ve seen warnings from airlines that profits weren’t going to be as high as they were expecting. But people are still traveling a little. Breaking news The Points Guy commissioned the Harris Poll to find out consumer sentiment. We did it back in January, and we did it again in May to find out if people are cutting back on their travel. And what we found is that they’re not people are still planning to travel. They may be changing slightly their destinations, but demand is still really high. And I think this summer will be the summer of savings, but it will still be really, really busy.

One of the really interesting trends we’ve seen is that folks may be transitioning instead of going to Canada this year, maybe they’re going to Montana, going to a National Park. We’re seeing a lot of interest again in national parks, which we really haven’t seen since we were coming out of the pandemic. So that’s been an interesting trend. And then the normal hot spots are still hot this summer. So Miami, Las Vegas, California, Chicago, New York City. But here’s the interesting thing. Prices are down for those destinations, so it’s all the same usual suspects as far as demand for domestic travel. But prices are down, especially airfare, so you can score some really good deals to places like Las Vegas that have not been on sale for years.
