Virgin Voyages was built around the idea of disrupting the cruise business. It does that in some small ways by not having a main dining room or a traditional buffet and in some bigger ones like not allowing anyone under the age of 18 onboard.
The cruise line has also tried to shake up onboard entertainment with its drag show and diverse set of onboard acts and performers. Virgin Voyages also offers an onboard tattoo parlor and shipwide parties that are wilder than other cruise lines.

Now, the cruise line has a plan for one of the biggest holidays of the year.
“Our New Year’s celebration is fleetwide this year, with Scarlet and Valiant Ladies hitting the Caribbean from the Miami end, both making stops at Virgin’s exclusive Beach Club at Bimini. Valiant New Year’s Ahoy is a quick and easy 4-night option for those looking to get back to land and start taking their new year in hand right away,” the cruise line shared.
Virgin Voyages will also offer some longer New Year’s Eve sailing.
“Scarlet New Year’s Ahoy is a more leisurely 8-night option, making stops in Puerto Plata, San Juan, and St. Croix before cruising into Bimini and home to Miami. Last but not least, Resilient Lady is doing her thing from our new home port in San Juan, with a 7-night voyage through the southern end of the Caribbean that we’re calling — you guessed it — Resilient New Year’s Ahoy,” it added.

Virgin Voyages wants a fancy affair
Unlike many cruise lines, Virgin does not have onboard dress codes. Even its restaurants, some of which are quite nice, don’t have any clothing requirements beyond its passengers being clothed.
That’s going to change for this special event.
“364 days out of the year, we embrace a come-as-you-are, dress-how-you-want onboard lifestyle. But for New Year’s Eve, we’re doing something different and asking you to go toe to toe with your gorgeous Caribbean surroundings. Show up at your finest — whatever that means to you — and ring in the New Year with an extra dash of allure,” the cruise line added.

Virgin Voyages also wants to help people kick the year off by getting a headstart on their resolutions.
“If you’ve resolved to live a healthier lifestyle in 2025, our free group workout classes, including sunrise yoga, are the perfect way to kickstart the new year the right way. Spend your mornings running around our track and playing basketball, and your evenings taking advantage of our healthy menu items and mocktails,” it shared.
